About the house
Our holiday house in Correns – a modernised old cabanon – in Provence Verte is situated on 2ha land with olive trees on a south-facing slope with a view over the vineyards. Uphill behind the house, the pool area offers another splendid view over the paysage.
The house sleeps 4 people. The ground floor has a kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, coffee machine, as well as a sitting room with dining area, television and DVD, and access to south facing terrace with a view. The 1st floor has a master bedroom with walk-in closet, a bathroom with shower, and a second bedroom with access to west-facing terrace. The first floor is accessible from the inside via a quaint, narrow spiral staircase, or from the outside via a wider stairway between the lower and upper terraces.
In addition the property has a pergola covered terrace on the east side of the house next to the kitchen, a private boule court, and an annex building with an another bathroom and washing machine. WIFI available.

Early spring the stonewalls of the Eastern terrace were finished, and we decided to have all terraces tiled with Travertine. A fascinating investment! Martin spent most of his summer holidays tiling the front terrace and half of the Eastern terrace. Summer temperatures of around 38 degrees made it an early morning job We will finish the[…]

Correns - the village
The house is within walking distance from Correns, a little village of about 800 inhabitants in the heart of Provence Verte east of Aix-en-Provence right next to the Argens River, 125 km from Nice and 100 km from Marseille airport. Correns is an active village supported by vine and olive production, due to the mayor’s efforts in making the village the first ecological village in France (years back). Correns is a classic Provencal village with a grocery shop, a baker, a “tabac”, a bar, a restaurant and of course the local wine “cooperative”.
